Regardless of your motivation, it is important for women to understand their breast augmentation options. Implants come in various sizes, shapes, and textures including silicone or saline and can be placed through several incisions both above and below one of the chest muscles (pectoralis muscle). In certain cases, Dr. Rumalla may be able to use minimally invasive endoscopic techniques of implant placement. Explaining these options and translating your desires and goals into a surgical plan is an important part of the surgical consultation.

Our philosophy on breast augmentation includes the concept of bio-dimensional analysis. That is, breast implant size and shape should be chosen to enhance your breast and not simply replace your breast. Our job is to make you feel happy and comfortable when you look in the mirror. This means finding the implant that best suits the size and shape of your body. Recovery from surgery is generally well tolerated and most women can return to work within several days. Breast augmentation is usually performed in our outpatient surgery center in Southlake under general anesthesia. The procedure takes about an hour and most women will be ready to go home an hour later.
