"What's in a name? that which we call a rose, By any other name would smell as sweet;"  These famous words from William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet remind us that beauty is not defined by a name.  One of the most common procedures performed in my practice is breast augmentation.  Though at first it may seem like the entire purpose of breast augmentation is to increase size, this is not true.  In actuality, a woman's common motivations for breast enhancement consultations include increase size, improve shape, create symmetry, increase fullness, define cleavage, and increase firmness.   The terms used by patients to describe breast augmentation are equally diverse.  Terms used for breast augmentation used by patients include breast enhancement, breast implants, boob job, breast lift, and breast job.  Personally, I would not include breast lift because this is a technically different procedure with its' own goals.  No matter what you call a breast augmentation procedure; boob job, etc; it is important to describe to your surgeon your motivations for the surgery and your ideas of breast  beauty and style.  It is my job to listen, but also tell you about the nature of your tissues and set a range of implant options which I feel can be succesfully used on your body.   Unfortunately, sometimes your goals for your look and what your body can handle are not compatible.  In summary, find a surgeon who helps you make good decisions,  and best of luck to all finding their rose.
