The Mommy Makeover Treatment Process
All patients wishing to undergo a mommy makeover will have a thorough medical evaluation prior to surgery. Mommy makeover consultations at our Fort Worth practice are always complimentary.
Dr. Rumalla will carefully plan your surgery and tailor each surgical treatment to address your cosmetic concerns, complement your features, and meet your expectations. Patients can help us develop a successful treatment plan by sending us photos of results they like and taking any other measures they feel will help communicate their goals to us.
The mommy makeover procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia, which is administered by a board-certified anesthesiologist at our surgery center in Southlake.
The surgical process may take several hours to complete since we are performing multiple treatments. During this time, we will make discreet incisions, make the necessary refinements, check for symmetry, close all of the incisions, and apply bandages.
Most of our mommy makeover patients stay overnight at our surgery center so we can provide close post-operative supervision. We use pain pumps during this time to keep patients feeling as comfortable as possible.
Upon the doctor's approval, patients can return home to recover. It is important to have help with the kids during this time, as patients will be unable to bend over or lift anything heavy. Over the next few weeks, patients will return to our Fort Worth practice for follow-up appointments.
