Smart-Lipo®,Cellulaze™ Fort Worth, Keller, Southlake

Liposuction is a surgical procedure where fat deposits are suctioned out through hollow tubes called cannulas using tiny incisions. The primary effect of liposuction is to remove fat, but when combined with the energy of heat and our body’s own collagen, the skin can also tighten. To this end, I have added ultrasonic energy to this procedure for over a decade and most recently have acquired one of the latest FDA-approved laser technologies - the SmartLipo®Triplex™ generator by Cynosure - to improve my results.

The SmartLipo® Triplex™  and Cellulaze™ uses three targeted lasers with significantly greater power than some older models and has incorporated several safety features to minimize complications while maximizing the result.  Areas which are well-suited for liposuction include the chin, buttock, arms, inner and outer thighs, abdomen, flanks (love handles), and the rolls of the back. I usually perform Smart Lipo®Triplex™-assisted liposuction procedures in our state-of-the-art surgery center in Southlake to maintain a sterile environment to reduce the risk of infection. The procedure can be performed under mild sedation or general anesthesia but in either case, I always have a board-certified anesthesiologist present for both your safety and comfort. My job is to focus on the artistry of your result; by having an anesthesiologist present we can minimize the risks of complications that can occur with sedation or general anesthesia. The procedure is usually well-tolerated and most patients will have only minimal discomfort after the first several days – which has been likened to a strenuous workout session – and may return to work within days. Patients will often be pleasantly surprised to see dramatic changes within a week, though the final result often takes weeks to months.

So what’s the down side?  Smart Lipo®Triplex™-assisted liposuction is not intended for weight loss. Though patients often shed pounds, it is more about body contouring, taking off inches, and improving form and shape. Secondly, Smart-Lipo® procedures performed at my Southlake surgery center - for our Fort Worth and Keller practices - primarily address fat; if patients have a large amount of skin or muscle weakness, I combine liposuction with excisional procedures like tummy tucks and thigh lifts to achieve the desired result.

Cellulaze

Tired of cellulite? Cellulite is the archreituralt pattern of the skin and superfial fat. Various non-invasive strategies of massage and reams have shown minimal results. The FDA recently approved Cellulaze™ to reduce the appearance of cellulite. Laser technology is applied under the skin to reduce dimpling and smoothing the appearance of the skin. Cellulate is performed under mild sedation or ceneva aneithesia in our Southlake surgery center on and out patient basis. Only one treatment is required.

Patients having SmartLipo® and Cellulaze™ will need to wear compression garments for several weeks. Patients who undergo procedures often experience a new found confidence in their new look, a balance to their body contour, and improved fit of their clothes. Remember, the liposuction result is intimately connected to the experience and skill of your surgeon.
